Our church, Gloryland Baptist, in Birmingham, Alabama has a ministry called Central American Missions. This ministry in Honduras is through missionaries Ronnie and Joanne Doss who work very closely with Bro. Graham Hutson from our church. Bro. Doss runs an orphanage that has about 70 children. He also has a Bible Institute that educates national pastors for the ministry. One of the ways that we are able to help is to ship 40 foot containers several times a year with clothes, shoes, and supplies for the orphan home, workers, and national pastors who depend on Bro. Doss. The purpose of this website is to provide updates on ship dates for the container and to provide you with information about the needs of this ministry if you would like to donate items or contribute to this worthy cause. We hope you will prayerfully consider helping us as we accomplish this task.

Specific Needs

While we were in Honduras over the summer, I was able to have the workers make a list of their specific needs.  Below is a summary of what they wrote down.

 Clinic (where the small children and girls stay)
-laundry baskets and tubs
-shelving units
-shirts (ladies size XS, S/little boys size 6 and 7)
-dresses/skirts (12 and up)
-underwear (size 4T and up)
-boys pants (4T and 5T)
-diapers (50-100 lb youth)
-hair accessories
-toys
-toddler size bunk beds with mattresses
-storage tubs
-swings for handicapped children
-Christmas decorations
-bathroom shelving
-changing table for special needs children
-twin mattress protectors
-potty training seat
-fans
-tables/desks for small children
-toy box benches
-couches

Boys Kitchen
-Heavy duty cookware
-Knives


General Needs
-kitchen towels
-bath towels
-shower curtains
-pillows
-material/fabric
-twin bedding
-shoes (ladies size 6 and up, little boys size 10,11,12)
-mattresses (twin and full)
-kids shampoo
-5 gallon buckets
